Poonam Pandey in reality show

Poonam Pandey vouched to strip in public if India won the World Cup but obviously didn't stand by...... Thanks to all the publicity she garnered for her 'strip promise', model Poonam Pandey will soon be seen as a participant in Khatron Ke Khiladi 4.

Poonam Pandey has been retracting from her statements and decisions. The lady never stripped for her countrymen and team India as promised after the World Cup win. She garnered maximum publicity, and then backtracked from her promise.

Khatron Ke Khiladi 4 on Colors is readying to take off in Cape Town, South Africa, with Akshay Kumar returning as host after a season's break.

The 19-year old model Poonam Pandey, who promised to strip down in public if India raises the Cricket World Cup 2011 has been cast as a contestant in the reality TV show Khatron Ke Khiladi to be hosted by Akshay Kumar.

Although the Kingfisher model didn't keep her 'naked promise', she got all the eyeballs in her direction. "It is always good to have masala in reality shows. More the spice, more the possibility of garnering eyeballs. TV viewers would definitely like to see Poonam Pandey and her antics in their drawing rooms," a source told the tabloid.

The channel's spokesperson confirmed the news, "Poonam Pandey is in Khatron Ke Khiladi 4."

Now she has the chance to win the prize money of Rs 50 lakh in the show.

Apparently, Poonam was slated to appear in another show, Comedy Ka Maha Muqqabla, but she backtracked (there as well) at the last moment.

She reportedly told the broadcaster that she was already contractually bound to do ‘KKK - Fear Factor 4’ and therefore could not be part of ‘Comedy Ka Maha Muqqabla’ which is aired on the rival channel.

Meanwhile, coming to her promise of stripping, the lady has been throwing one excuse after another.

“Hey guyz whatz up? You Sounding bit Disappointed, don’t be so.. i will be Back in Action.. Just stay tuned ... muaaaah Luv u all!!!!!!!!!!!” she wrote on her Twitter page.

She’s been promising this ‘action’ since the day India won and has been repeatedly exhorting her followers to be patient and ‘stay tuned’. Perhaps till the next world cup.
