Gene Responsible For Heart Defects Identified

The heart diseases are always considered as a health hazard. Every year numerous people are diagnosed with a heart disease. A lot of these are kids.

It has been seen that children at a very young age are diagnosed with heart diseases.

Australian scientists have discovered a new group of genes that could be responsible for causing heart defects in children, which affect more than 2000 babies born each year in Australia.

A team, led by Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute in Sydney, has found that as well as genes that are active in the heart as it forms, those not directly involved in heart's development can also cause a congenital heart defect.
