Actor Jai is a huge fan of Ajith. He says that he is absolutely in awe of Thala who is very kind to him and is very generous with advice. Ajith has told him to work hard, choose his films carefully, and to give every role his best effort. Jai says that the biggest compliment he has received was when Ajith told him that he reminded him of himself in his early films like Amaravathi.

Jai says that he would have gladly worked as an assistant director in Mankatha, if Murugadoss had not offered him a meaty role in his upcoming film. The aspiring actor says that Ajith inspires him and every minute spent with him is an education in itself!

When it comes to 'Engeyum Eppodhum', says the actor, "I share a very good rapport with director Saravanan and Murugadoss is happy about our bond. He says an actor and a director should always share a healthy relationship."

On the movie, he says, "It is sweet and cute love story which has Anjali opposite me. I am thoroughly impressed with the script and immediately agreed to be part of the film. Engeyum Eppodhum will bring on screen a new Jai."

Jai had a mixed fortune in his career in his career so far. A known admirer of Ajith, he started his career in Vijay starrer Bhagawathi. He made his mark in Chennai 28. However he had a string of moderate outings in Vamanan, Goa and Kanimozhi.

Admitting that he had made mistakes by choosing wrong scripts, the actor says, “But I am very very careful now. I have learnt a lesson or two from my past and am keen not to repeat it in future.”

Now he says, "With Engeyum Eppodhum, I can certainly regain my lost ground. My role is really cute. I enjoy working in the movie." The actor would be sharing screen with Anjali of 'Kattradhu Thamizh' movie fame.

Expressing gratitude to Thala Ajith for all his affection towards him, Jai says, "Ajith sir would call me to his house at least once in a month. Meeting him once is like having 10 bottles of energy drink. He is such a great source of inspiration."
